Make Profile fields configurable: write/read-only
In our company we book meeting rooms in Outlook which are then synchronised to Condeco. We find that when the user First Name synchronised from Outlook, mismatches with the user First Name registered in Condeco, the relevant meeting rooms and respective attendees are not included in the Contact Report.
For example:
We have two users in question:
User 1: Anothony Apricot (as registeed in Azure Active Directory)
User 2: Bernard Balloon (as registeed in Azure Active Directory)
In Condeco the users have the option to change a.o. their First Name, Last Name and Email Address in their Profile settings.
Now let's say Bernard is known in the company as Bernie and he updates his First Name accordingly (thus changing Bernard Balloon to Bernie Balloon).
• User Anthony Apricot books a meeting via Outlook with user Bernard Balloon.
• The meeting takes place as scheduled. Afterwards Bernard reports ill with Covid.
• The HR manager runs a Contact Report on Bernard in order to find out who potentially was exposed to Covid.
• The following data is included in the Contact report for Bernard:
- Desks
- Adjacent colleagues
The following data is NOT included in the Contact report for Bernard:
- Rooms
- Attendees
The reason the Rooms and Attendees data is not included is because there is a mismatch in de First Name recorded in the Attendee overview of the meeting synchronised to Condeco versus the First Name updated by Bernard in his Profile settings.
To resolve or improve this matter it seems required to enable global administrators to configure which Profile fields are editable by users. (in our case we would make the fields First Name, Last Name and Email Address read-only).
Also, when generating the Contact Report disregard the check on First Name and only consider the Email address as the unique identifier.
