Ability to stop users booking meeting rooms on the weekend and on bank holiday's
In our organisation, booking meetings rooms on the weekend is prohibited and we would like to avoid users thinking this is the case.
To make this easy to administrate, we should be able to clearly mark holidays in the settings. It would be optimal if the system could do this based on your region with the ability to adjust manually

commentedDue to the opening hours there is no staff available on weekends and holidays. Otherwise Bookings need to be manually adjusted or cancelled by staff. For the room managers the check is not possible and complicates the process unnecessarily.
It gives the customer a false impression that rooms are always bookable, which is not the case.
This feature should be available for the different regions (different bank holidays).

commentedSame for personal spaces. Ability to prohibit/ exclude weekend days booking for personal spaces. Currently when the advance booking period for a group is specified in days the system allows weekends to be booked and counts the weekend days in the advance period. There is no way to restrict this. Weekend days are not bookable or counted when the advance period for the group is specified in weeks.

commentedHaving the ability to configure holidays in the system and disallow a resource to be booked on a holiday is an important feature during COVID-19 given many organizations do not have cleaning services working on holidays to clean desks after they are used. This request if I understand it correctly is to provide the ability to configure a holiday calendar and disable booking resources on those or select holidays (effectively creating blackout days in the system).

commentedThis same problem means catering notification periods don't work for companies that don't work at the weekend

commentedIt would also be good if this was included in the booking of recurring meeting so that it identifies I am trying to book a room during a weekend / public holiday (and suggests another day).

commentedIt should be possible to disable holidays and weekends (Saturday and Sunday). or at least that you can clearly mark the holidays in the settings. It would be optimal if it is already deposited in the system, from which region you come, otherwise it would be enough if you could adjust it manually.

commentedAs part of a group's business rules, we'd like to prevent booking on weekends in our managed spaces.

commentedThis function would be good if it could be applied per location, different building within our portfolio have different business rules and requirements. Exclusion of public holidays would also be a good function to include, locations that are closed can be configured appropriately within the portfolio.

commentedWould agree with this. The desk booking setup with the Global Settings area of the application has an option to exclude the weekends from the system. Why not introduce this functionality into the Meeting rooms as well. This could also be expanded out to exclude the weekend in the business rules functionality.

commentedIs this the ability to book a room/desk that I want to use on a Saturday/Sunday, or is this the ability to sign in on a Saturday or Sunday and book a resource for Monday ?
