Lock the default desk location and group in the user profile
We would like to be able to give 'residents' 3 weeks booking notice on desks in their home neighbourhood, and everyone else 1 weeks booking notice. The system supports this based on a user's group in their default profile, however a user can go in to their profile and change the group to some other neighbourhood and gain 3 weeks rights on desks that they should only have the default 1 week rights.
If there was a flag in the global settings that allows us to grey out the field in the user's profile, then we could populate this field via the HR feed, and the user won't be able to change it.
This is particularly important for retaining a user's contracted working location for a number of reasons such as expenses control.

Hi!
We are happy to announce that in our latest release we have included this feature. Once your organization takes the update, you will be able to start using it.
Kind regards,
Condeco Product Team

Agree with the sentiments of others here that this needs to change.
I would also say that if desk groups are removed from the system, then we need a function that allows Admin's to pick a default to apply to users profiles, especially if impacting a range of individuals.

Mandatory for our immediate office, and any wider implementation in additional offices. In our immediate office we need to be able to control contractors who should only be able to find a free desk on the day, verses employees who can choose/reserve a desk in advance. Furthermore, an employee visiting a remote office (not their home office) should not have the same rights as those employees who's home site it is. Exactly the same scenarios for the other comments in this thread around neighboarhoods.
Without this enhancement, non-employees, or non-home office employees can simply place themselves in the appropriate group for the extended rights.
An enhancement to desk booking is required by adding a security control on web, and mobile, that restricts the change of the users group to the appropriate site/region/global admin.
In case of question, a site owner should be able to inherit a user. A site loosing a user should not be able to allocate to another site [without that site admins permission], hence "inherit only" functionality.

A necessary change to manage neighbourhoods. It prevents people deciding when they want to be based in 'London' and secure a desk as a resident rather than a visitor.
